Greenhouse
integration for HRBench

Greenhouse reporting and people intelligence

HRBench connects to Greenhouse Recruiting and turns your hiring data into ready-made recruiting metrics, then adds the workforce benchmarks and engagement surveys Greenhouse does not. You get time-to-fill, pipeline health, offer outcomes, and diversity-of-hire reporting in one place, without the BI Connector, a data warehouse, or a report writer.

HRBench reads your Greenhouse recruiting data: candidates and applications, jobs and requisitions, offers, recruiters and their activity, interview scorecards, and the EEO data Greenhouse collects. Greenhouse holds no HRIS data, so headcount, pay, tenure, and turnover come from your core HR system, not from Greenhouse.

Why Greenhouse teams bring in HRBench

  • Greenhouse tracks hiring, not what happens after. It has no record of tenure, performance, or turnover, so it cannot tell you which sources, recruiters, or interview scores produced people who stayed. HRBench links your Greenhouse hiring data to your HRIS and reports on quality of hire and hiring-to-retention.
  • Deeper analysis in Greenhouse means the Business Intelligence Connector, a paid add-on on the higher Greenhouse plans that exports your data nightly for a separate BI tool to model. HRBench reads the same data directly and delivers the metrics already built, so you skip the connector, the warehouse, and the BI license.
  • Greenhouse reports your funnel against itself. It cannot show whether your time-to-fill or offer-accept rate is strong or slow next to comparable companies. HRBench adds workforce benchmarks so your hiring numbers carry outside context.
  • Cross-functional questions push recruiting teams into CSV exports and rebuilt spreadsheets, pulling several Greenhouse reports to answer one question. HRBench keeps the funnel live and combines it with the rest of your people data, so the answer is already there.

What a Greenhouse shop builds with HRBench

  • Full-funnel conversion and time-to-fill. Follow candidates from application through each interview stage to offer, with conversion and time-to-fill broken out by job, department, and office.
  • Offer outcomes. See offer volume, accept and decline rates, and time-to-offer across teams and requisitions.
  • Recruiter and pipeline load. Measure open requisitions, pipeline, and activity by recruiter to balance workload and surface stalled reqs.
  • Interview scorecard analysis. Read scorecard recommendations and interviewer patterns to see how interview scores line up with who actually gets hired.
  • Diversity across the hiring funnel. Use the EEO data Greenhouse collects to track representation at each stage, applicants through offers, and see where the funnel narrows.
  • Hiring linked to retention. Connect Greenhouse to your HRIS and follow new hires past their start date to measure quality of hire, first-year retention, and which sources and scorecards predict people who stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't find the information you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us directly, and our team will be happy to assist you.

01

Does HRBench integrate with Greenhouse?

Yes. HRBench connects to Greenhouse Recruiting and reads your hiring data through a secure API connection, with no CSV exports or manual uploads. It syncs candidates and applications, jobs and requisitions, offers, recruiters, interview scorecards, and EEO data, then turns them into ready-made recruiting metrics. Most teams are live in about 4 to 6 weeks.

02

What Greenhouse data does HRBench read?

HRBench reads your Greenhouse recruiting data: candidates and applications, jobs and open requisitions, job postings, offers, recruiters and their activity, interview scorecards, and the EEO and diversity data Greenhouse collects. It does not read HRIS data, because Greenhouse does not hold any. Headcount, compensation, benefits, tenure, and turnover come from your core HR system. Connect both and HRBench reports across the full journey, from application to retention.

03

What can HRBench measure from Greenhouse data?

From Greenhouse alone, HRBench measures the hiring funnel: application-to-hire conversion, time-to-fill and time-to-offer, pipeline by stage, offer accept and decline rates, recruiter workload, interview scorecard patterns, and diversity across applicants, interviews, and offers. Add your HRIS and those hiring metrics extend into quality of hire and first-year retention.

04

Does HRBench replace Greenhouse reporting?

No. Greenhouse stays your system of record for recruiting, and HRBench sits on top of it. Greenhouse runs your day-to-day hiring and its in-platform reports; HRBench turns the same data into board-ready metrics, adds benchmarks and engagement surveys Greenhouse does not offer, and connects hiring to the rest of your people data. You keep Greenhouse and skip the Business Intelligence Connector.

05

Does HRBench work with Greenhouse Recruiting, Onboarding, and Sourcing Automation?

HRBench connects to Greenhouse Recruiting, the ATS at the center of the Greenhouse platform, and reads its hiring data on any plan: Core, Plus, or Pro. Greenhouse Onboarding and Sourcing Automation are separate modules; the metrics come from your recruiting data. You do not need a higher plan or the Business Intelligence Connector add-on to get analytics-grade reporting, because HRBench delivers the metrics itself.

06

Can HRBench measure diversity across our Greenhouse hiring funnel?

Yes. Greenhouse collects EEO and demographic data at the candidate level, and HRBench reads it to show diversity at each stage: applicants, interviews, offers, and hires. You can see where representation drops in the funnel and track it by job, department, or recruiter over time. Most ATS reporting leaves this data locked in individual records rather than aggregated for analysis.

07

Can HRBench show how our Greenhouse numbers compare to other companies?

Yes, and Greenhouse cannot. Greenhouse reports your funnel against your own history, with no outside reference. HRBench adds workforce benchmarks so you can see whether your time-to-fill, offer-accept rate, or pipeline conversion is ahead of or behind comparable companies. For teams inside a PE portfolio, HRBench also rolls hiring metrics up across companies.

08

Does HRBench include engagement surveys with Greenhouse data?

Yes. Engagement surveys are included for every HRBench customer, at no extra cost. Greenhouse measures the hiring process but not how employees feel once they join. HRBench pairs your hiring data with engagement results, so you can connect the quality of your hiring to engagement and retention after the start date.

09

How long does it take to connect Greenhouse to HRBench?

Most teams are live in about 4 to 6 weeks, and smaller recruiting operations move faster. The Greenhouse connection itself is quick; the timeline covers mapping your jobs, stages, and recruiters to HRBench's metrics and setting up your dashboards the way your team reports. You do not need the Business Intelligence Connector or a data warehouse to start.
