Why Breathe teams bring in HRBench

  • The features that would answer "how are we doing" sit behind a plan upgrade. Breathe's employee NPS survey and its burnout monitor, the closest things it has to workforce analytics, are both locked to Regular plans and above, out of reach for its two smallest pricing tiers. HRBench includes engagement surveys and predictive insight for every customer, regardless of plan.
  • Reporting stays built for day-to-day admin, not analysis. Breathe's own reporting is a database of canned reports with an export to Excel. Reviewers on G2 and Capterra consistently note that customization and analytics fall short once a business needs more than the basics.
  • There is no way to see how the business compares to anyone else. Breathe's reports show a company's own numbers only, with no external benchmark to say whether a turnover rate or absence pattern is normal. HRBench adds benchmarks pulled from other companies on the platform.
  • Absence and headcount trends live in separate reports until someone combines them by hand. Breathe surfaces sickness, time-off, and headcount data through its own dashboards, useful for day-to-day admin, but turning that into a trend line means pulling multiple reports into a spreadsheet. HRBench connects the same Breathe data automatically into one set of metrics.

What a Breathe shop builds with HRBench

  • Headcount and org structure trends across teams, groups, and locations over time
  • Turnover and retention broken out by team, location, or manager
  • Absence and time-off pattern analysis, including seasonality and which teams show risk
  • Benefit enrollment participation rates across the workforce
  • Workforce benchmarks comparing headcount, turnover, and absence against other companies on HRBench
  • Engagement survey results layered alongside headcount, turnover, and absence data for a fuller retention picture

Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't find the information you're looking for, please don't hesitate to contact us directly, and our team will be happy to assist you.

01

Does HRBench integrate with Breathe?

Yes. HRBench connects directly to Breathe and turns your people and time-off data into ready-made workforce metrics, plus the benchmarks and engagement surveys Breathe does not offer.

02

What Breathe data does HRBench read?

HRBench reads the core people and org data Breathe stores: employee and employment records, company structure, locations, teams and groups, benefit enrollment, and time-off events. It does not read payroll, PTO balances, timesheets, dependents, or benefit plan definitions, since Breathe does not make that data available through the connection HRBench uses. Recruiting and rota or time-tracking data stay out of reach too, since Breathe sells those as separate add-on modules.

03

What can HRBench measure from Breathe data?

Headcount and org structure trends, turnover and retention by team or location, absence and time-off patterns, and benefit enrollment participation, plus benchmarks against other companies and engagement survey results layered on top.

04

Does HRBench replace Breathe reporting?

No. Breathe stays the system for day-to-day HR admin: employee records, leave requests, and onboarding. HRBench sits on top of that data to answer the bigger workforce questions Breathe's own reports were not built to handle.

05

Does HRBench work with Breathe's Recruitment and Rota, Time & Attendance add-ons?

Not directly. Those are separate Breathe products sold apart from the core platform, with their own data. HRBench reads the core Breathe HR platform: people records, org structure, benefits, and time off.

06

Can HRBench flag absence and burnout risk from Breathe data?

Yes. HRBench turns the time-off events Breathe syncs into absence trend and risk analysis, included for every HRBench customer rather than locked to Breathe's higher pricing tiers, and benchmarked against other companies rather than just your own history.

07

Can HRBench show how our Breathe numbers compare to other companies?

Yes. Breathe reports on a company's own data only, with no benchmark against other companies. HRBench adds workforce benchmarks pulled from other companies on the platform, so a Breathe number like turnover or absence rate gets context beyond your own history.

08

Does HRBench include engagement surveys with Breathe data?

Yes. Breathe's engagement feature is a single-question NPS survey, and only on Regular plans and above. HRBench includes full engagement surveys for every customer, laid alongside the workforce metrics built from Breathe data.

09

How long does it take to connect Breathe to HRBench?

Most Breathe connections take 4 to 6 weeks, with smaller organizations often live sooner.
